UNIT 5 DELIVERABLES

For your capstone project proposal, provide the following in a single PDF:

  • Page 1: Cover page with project title, subtitle (if using), your name, and a relevant image

  • Page 2: Abstract describing the topic or problem you want to address (250-300 words)

  • Page 3: Discussion of two methods from this course (archival research, data visualization, catalogue, case study, prototyping) that you could use in your capstone project—how would you deploy them and why would they be useful to your process? (500-600 words)

  • Page 4: Intended outcomes of the project—what do you hope to achieve, what questions do you hope to answer, and what will you produce? (250-300 words)

  • Page 5: Precedent images (4-6 total) showing existing projects or research undertakings that are relevant to your work. Cite the image sources on this page and provide short captions as needed.

UNIT 5 SCHEDULE

  • Tuesday 11/29 and Thursday 12/1: Work sessions in class with feedback from instructors and peers

  • Thursday 12/6: Course evaluations and wrap-up; PDF due on Box by 10PM on December 8 (see instructions below)

FINAL DOCUMENTATION due by 10PM on December 8

  • Ensure all your work from the semester is on Box, in the appropriate Unit folder, in the following formats:

    • Unit 1: Presentation PDF (NOT PPT), with LastName_FirstName_Unit1 file naming standard

    • Unit 2: PDF file with all visualizations, with LastName_FirstName_Unit2 naming standard

    • Unit 3: PDF file with catalogue or multi-page case study, with LastName_FirstName_Unit3 naming standard

    • Unit 4: One JPEG image per prototype model, with LastName_FirstName_Unit4_Image1 etc. naming standard

    • Unit 5: PDF file, with LastName_FirstName_Unit5 naming standard
