LA 280 DESIGN COMMUNICATIONS 1 DIGITAL OVERLAYS (30 points)

DUE: Friday November 5, end of class

Select one of your linework manipulations in Illustrator to bring in to Photoshop. Create edits to the linework (for example, changing colors, applying filters, duplicating and rotating the layer). Underneath the linework, create a new digital collage using colors, textures, and found images. Establish a clear relationship between the images and the linework—they don’t need to replicate each other, but work with each other to create an image with depth and layers.

Use a single PSD file to build up your collage material, and use the File > Save a Copy function to export two different JPEG images (graded for 15 points each). Save these as FirstNameLastName_1.jpg and FirstNameLastName_2.jpg for uploading to Box.
