Occurring in the final year of the Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Design (BSSD) program, this fall-semester seminar acts as a thesis preparation course. Students are introduced to advanced research themes, methods, and techniques. Emphasis is placed on students developing their own research topics, which may take shape with multiple representational forms, including, writing, drawing, mapping, and modeling.
This course seeks to synthesize skills and knowledge gained in earlier courses in the BSSD sequence, and culminates in a comprehensive thesis proposal that prepares students to enter the Capstone Studio in the spring semester.
